Undergraduate Programmes

1. Have a C+ in KCSE or equivalent qualifcation
from an institution recognized by the University
Senate
2. Be a holder of diploma in related field or
equivalent qualification from a recognized
institution

Postgraduate Programmes

PhD Programmes
1. Be a holder of a master’s degree in related feld
from a recognized institution with a minimum
GPA of 3.00 or its equivalent.

2. Be a holder of equivalent qualifcations approved
by the Commission for University Education
(CUE).

Masters Programmes:

1. Be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in related
field from Kenya Methodist University with a
minimum GPA of 3.00 or a holder of an equivalent
qualification recognized by ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV senate.
2. Be a holder of bachelor’s degree with second
class honors upper division and above or second
class honors lower division and a minimum of 2
years’ relevant working experience in a similar
environment.

Diploma Programmes

1. Have a minimum C-(minus) or C(plain) for
medical and health related field.
2. Be a holder of a certificate in a related field
with a cumulative GPA of 2.00 and above or its
equivalent from a recognized institution.

TVET Programmes

  • National Diploma Level 6 – duration of 2 years
    Minimum entry requirement is C (plain) and
    C-(minus) grade in KCSE or its equivalent.
  • Craft Certificate Level 5 – duration of 1 year
    Minimum entry requirement is D+(plus) and
    D(plain) grade in KCSE or its equivalent.
  • Artisan Certificate Level 4 – duration of 6 months
    Minimum entry requirement is D-(minus) and E
    grade in KCSE or its equivalent.

Fill the Application Form

Fill out all the necessary fields in the form. Ensure you indicate/tick the programme you intend to undertake. Go through the form carefully to ensure no required fields are left out.

Gather the Required Documents

Assemble all the necessary supporting evidence/documents to be submitted with the form to the university. These documents include copies of original certificates, passport photos, result slips, national ID or passport, etc.

Submit the Documents

Submit the form and all the necessary supporting evidence/documents to Kenya Methodist University. This can also be done by dropping the documents physically at your nearest/convenient university branch or by sending them by email through the address, info@kemu.ac.ke or by post office. Payment of application fee. The applicants should pay using

Wait for Feedback

All applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committees of the university and a decision rendered. This decision is communicated to the applicant. Some students may be required to undertake an interview to ascertain their suitability to undertake a programme. This is particularly the case with post-graduate programmes.

Note: This only applies to self-sponsored students (PSSP). Depending on your programme level, you are required to pay a certain amount of non-refundable application fee as stipulated below (in KSH):

  • Certificate: 1000
  • Diploma: 1000
  • Undergraduate: 1000
  • Masters: 2000
  • PHD: 5000
  • Post Graduate Diploma: 1000
