“Dr. Edward Felix Odhiambo, as the Chairman of Pharmacy Department, would like to welcome you to the department at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences in ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV. The department was started in 2010 to train Pharmacists and Pharmaceutical Technologists with the first cohort of pharmacists graduating in 2017. The Bachelor of Pharmacy training programme takes five years to complete and has an annual intake for sixty (60) students. The department currently has a fulltime staff of fourteen and two adjunct staff. The department is gearing towards developing into a full blown School of Pharmacy in the near future”
Dr. Odhiambo joined ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV in 2016 as a lecturer and has been the Chairman of the department since 2018. He teaches pharmaceutical chemistry and Pharmacy Laws.
He was at one time a lecturer at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) where he rose to the position of the head of faculty of pharmacy. Dr. Odhiambo has served as a part-time lecturer and an external examiner for a number of other institutions undertaking training in pharmacy programmes at both the diploma and degree levels. He has been an internship preceptor and have supervised pharmacy students undertaking postgraduate studies, student dissertations and research projects in some of the institutions
