Biography

Dr. Gordon Ambayo is a Consultant Psychiatrist and the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Kenya Methodist University. Before joining Kenya Methodist University in April 2019, he held various managerial positions in the field of medicine. He was the Company doctor at Sony Sugar Company in Awendo from August 1988 to November 2006.

He joined the University of Nairobi in December 2006 and was promoted to be the Medical officer in charge in 2013 until October 2018. He joined Kenya Methodist University in April 2019 as a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry. In October 2020 he was promoted to become the chair of same department.

Dr. Gordon Ambayo is a born again Christian and is married with 5 children.
