Biography

Dr. Mary Kinoti is the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic, Research and Student Affairs at Kenya Methodist University. She holds a PhD in Religious Studies from Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Master of Theology degree from Emory University in the USA, and Bachelor of Divinity from St. Paul’s University.

Mary is a theological scholar and an ordained minister in the Methodist Church of Kenya for thirty years. She has published several peer-reviewed articles, a book chapter and book reviews in the field of practical theology, social justice and religious Studies which is her field of specialization. She has excelled in resource mobilization and consultancy.

Her university leadership spans a period of over 16 years modelling the application of faith in practice through steward leadership and management where she is good in developing and implementing policies to promote the success of students through meeting their academic goals as well as their social/emotional and financial needs embedded on quality learning and teaching.

Mary provides leadership for numerous local community organizations, has established the innovative Blessed to Bless Ministry at Kenya Methodist University, and spearheads the integration of faith and learning through various staff training and ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV student activities and clubs. She also excels in partnerships that support quality learning and teaching. She has been globally recognized for her faith-based transformational leadership and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and symposia.
